Muslimah CommitteeThe Muslim community is facing many challenges today, whether it be internally driven (lack of knowledge, misguidance, cultural clashes) or externally driven (negative media, world events). Such challenges bring many burdens on each and every one of us but we all generally try to take in and pray for Allah to protect and relief our Ummah. But such challenges risk many of us losing faith and many of our children to drift away from Allah’s righteous path.
Together we women can make a difference. Together we can strengthen our community, build a stronger positive identity for our youth and children to be proud of and thankful for. It is our duty to bring our community together for the love of Allah and in doing so Allah will bring us all together under his mercy and guidance inshallah.
We need to know each other, work together, listen to our youth, involve them, embrace our children, guide them; they need us, they need to learn the true spirit of Islam. This is all what we can offer them and this is all they need to face the challenges of today and tomorrow.
It is time we start taking a proactive step and may Allah guide and bless our efforts.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
In recognition of the importance of building a strong Muslim identity within our community and creating a positive image of the Muslim community in Canada, the Muslimah Committee aims to: 1. Form a strong unified Muslim voice to bring the community together in a friendly atmosphere to support each other and deal with challenges. 2. Promote and nurture a true image of Muslims. 3. Assert a strong Muslim identity in our second-generation, Canadian-Muslims. 4. Encourage and enable the Muslim community to communicate together easily and meet on frequent basis.
